about

Natalia Drabik is an artist born in Poland and based in Paris.
Her practice engages with questions of containment, the body, and the collective projections attached to it. Her ongoing research focuses on the influence of culturally over-coded forms, including sacral and symbolic systems. She is interested in the latent mechanisms that „occupy“ the body and transform it into a signifier and by that shape how bodies are perceived and conditionned. In her work she treats the body as a leaking vessel, highly sensitive, enduring, adaptive and charged.

She completed the Master Class at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2021. She was awarded The Missing Link by the Psychoanalytisches Seminar in Zürich and was an artist in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. Her work and research have been supported by DAAD and Kunststiftung NRW.
